Day 47: Fall City, WA
A day highlighted by a visit to Treehouse Point.

I was supposed to be leaving the campground tomorrow morning and visiting a friend in Seattle, but she had an unfortunate last minute dog-mergency and had to cancel at the last minute. I've sure been there with the dog situations so I am praying for her and her family. So I am here for another day, which is fine by me. This is a nice spot.
I kept reading about this nice coffee shop nearby, so this morning I drove into Fall City to Aroma coffee, got a bagel and a chai and sat on my computer there for a couple hours.
I remembered that Tim Barney in Seattle had told me that Fall City is where the guy from the Treehouse Masters TV show has his "treehouse resort" which is called Treehouse Point. They give tours, and I called them up and got on a tour for 12:15pm.
I also recalled that Tim told me one of his photographs was on one of the bus stops in Fall City. I vaguely remembered that I thought he said it was in front of the Fall City Library, so I pulled out Google Maps to see how far away it was... And it was 100 feet away, two doors down! So I walked over there and sure enough, there was a bus stop right in front of the library and it was graced with a nice photograph of a grain silo by Tim Barney. Very cool.

I sat at the library for another hour or so, soaking up their extraordinarily fast wifi until it was time to go to the Treehouse Point tour.
Treehouse Point
The treehouse tour was so inspiring. This guy Pete Nelson started making treehouses when he was 7 and never stopped. I think he's about 63 now. He's built quite an empire. This "treehouse resort" has seven treehouses, a main house, and a barn. It sounds like they do an awful lot of weddings there. They also host yoga in the barn once a week. I also gathered that Pete Nelson gets hired to build treehouses all over the world and charges $350k to build a treehouse. He also teaches people how to do it. I'd love to build something like these someday.
I took way too many photos...

Afternoon
I had a lot of logistics to work out with some of my social plans shifting a bit. I also just wasn't feeling very well all afternoon and evening. My gums are still bothering me, and it just feels like it is sapping my body's energy as it works to heal whatever is going on. I've never taken so much ibuprofen in my whole life.

Yesterday it was helpful to sit in the sauna and do some breathing exercises, so I went in there and did that again. Sat in the hot tub and swam in the pool as well. I listen to the recordings I've been working on while I'm in the hot tub and sauna. Then just laid low in the van and tried to feel better.
Old Dead Videos
Had a nice long chat with my brother Tucker and he sent me some old Grateful Dead videos to watch. I started going through these...
Yesterday
I also want to mention that yesterday I drove in to Redmond, WA to a Whole Foods to fill up my water jugs (I travel with three 4 gallon jugs of drinking water), and it was by far the nicest Whole Foods I've ever been to. It was massive, impeccable, and the parking lot was attractive and well landscaped. The people were really friendly too. I had a favorable impression of Redmond. There is clearly a lot of money there in the hometown of Microsoft.
